He thinks about killing her. Late at night when the rain is pouring down around them and she's lying in his arms like she's something real. She tells him things that he's not supposed to know, the things he doesn't want to hear. She tells him about Tyrol and how Sharon - the Chief's Sharon - noticed the way Helo looked at her, the way he wanted her and how they all knew it and so, when he stayed behind they knew what they had to do. He doesn't know why he doesn't. He knows they can die, or something like it. He knows they bleed. His hands could close around her neck, because he knows they breathe. He thinks about it sometimes, but he never does, because he loves her. Maybe the Cylons didn't know that, maybe they don't get it, but he does, so they use it, use him, like a weapon, turning him on himself and the rest of the human race. |
